El acto ha contado con la intervenci\u00f3n del presidente del RCMM, Jer\u00f3nimo P\u00e9rez, el consejero de Deportes, Miguel \u00c1ngel Fern\u00e1ndez, y el oficial del Comit\u00e9 de Regata, Fidel Mart\u00ednez, quienes han detallado todos los aspectos organizativos y deportivos del evento.<br \/>\nLa competici\u00f3n, que alcanza ya su quinta edici\u00f3n, se disputar\u00e1 en dos fines de semana consecutivos, reuniendo a una destacada representaci\u00f3n de la vela base nacional e internacional. Del 1 al 3 de agosto competir\u00e1n las clases Optimist, ILCA 4 e ILCA 6, mientras que los d\u00edas 8, 9 y 10 de agosto ser\u00e1 el turno de la flota de Snipe, con especial protagonismo para los regatistas locales.<br \/>\nEn palabras de Jer\u00f3nimo P\u00e9rez, &#8220;este Trofeo es ya una referencia en el calendario estival y, en su quinto aniversario, marca un r\u00e9cord de participaci\u00f3n&#8221;. Este a\u00f1o se dar\u00e1n cita en Melilla m\u00e1s de un centenar de j\u00f3venes regatistas, procedentes de cuatro comunidades aut\u00f3nomas y Portugal, representando a un total de quince clubes n\u00e1uticos.<br \/>\nEl programa comenzar\u00e1 este viernes, si las condiciones meteorol\u00f3gicas lo permiten, con una regata costera que servir\u00e1 como II Memorial &#8216;Jos\u00e9 Manuel Calzado Puertas&#8217;, en recuerdo al querido y recordado presidente del RCMM. El s\u00e1bado y domingo se celebrar\u00e1n pruebas tipo &#8216;trapecio&#8217;, m\u00e1s t\u00e9cnicas y exigentes, que pondr\u00e1n a prueba la destreza de los participantes bien sea en el campo de regata situado frente a la playa de \u2018Horcas Coloradas\u2019 o en el que estar\u00eda en el interior de la bah\u00eda melillense.<br \/>\nEn esta edici\u00f3n, tomar\u00e1n parte 94 regatistas en clase Optimist, 31 en ILCA 4 y 20 embarcaciones en ILCA 6, confirmando la creciente proyecci\u00f3n y prestigio del Trofeo.<br \/>\nPor su parte, el consejero Miguel \u00c1ngel Fern\u00e1ndez ha querido destacar el compromiso firme de la Ciudad Aut\u00f3noma con el deporte n\u00e1utico de base, respaldando este tipo de eventos que promocionan Melilla como destino deportivo y fomentan valores de esfuerzo, compa\u00f1erismo y respeto al mar entre los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes.<br \/>\nDesde la organizaci\u00f3n se ha subrayado el gran esfuerzo log\u00edstico y humano que supone coordinar una cita de estas caracter\u00edsticas, agradeciendo la colaboraci\u00f3n del personal del RCMM, t\u00e9cnicos, clubes participantes y patrocinadores, entre los que cabe destacar la participaci\u00f3n de la naviera Bale\u00e0ria, encargada de transporta a toda la flota peninsular hasta Melilla.<br \/>\nEl V Trofeo \u201cReal Club Mar\u00edtimo Melilla &#8211; Melilla Ciudad del Deporte 2025\u201d promete convertirse en un gran espect\u00e1culo deportivo en aguas melillenses, reafirmando una vez m\u00e1s la apuesta conjunta del RCMM y la Consejer\u00eda de Deportes por el fomento y desarrollo
